I THRIVE's creator, Heather Curtis MD, is a dedicated mental health provider devoted to empowering those she serves to live happier and healthier lives. In residency Heather pursued additional training and certification in global mental health, complimentary medicine, and traumatology with an emphasis on veteran trauma, sexual violence, and refugee mental health. Post residency Heather has worked as a Medical Director delivering inpatient psychiatric services to psychiatric patients and as creator and Executive Director of her 501c3 nonprofit organization, I THRIVE where she continues to build on her leadership experience in medicine. Heather incorporates multiple evidence-based psychotherapeutic modalities into her practice of psychiatry and is presently studying integrative psychiatry.
